Calla Lily Circle Card

I'm holding my first monthly craft group meeting and wasn't sure what I wanted to do. Then Heartfelt Creations came out with their circle dies and card bases!! Here is my first card I made using the new products and Heartfelt Creations' Calla Lily collection which I love.

Heartfelt Creations' new circle dies and card bases allow Crafters to create quick cards that are still show stoppers.

For the easel card, I started by cutting out a large circle using the 6" x 6" circle die of the Rounded Sunlight Window set. This die allowed me to cut out a quick circle in the yellow pattern papaer that fit perfectly on a Heartfelt Creations' 6 x 6 Round Bi-Fold Card Base. I then cut out all (4) pieces of the Rounded Window Frame die and adhered to the card front with the yellow card stock underneath.  By using a section of a hydra-sponge, I sporadically applied clear adhesive throughout card front and applied glitter.  The glitter just makes this card front shine. I selected a circle die that fit in the center of my card front (2-1/2" die) and cut out a portion of the Calla Lilly paper collection I liked, along with one of the printed sentiments.

Now for the part I love - creating my flowers! The Calla Lily flower petals were stamped in Ranger Archival Fern Green and inked using Ranger Archival Chrome Yellow, Fern Green, and Pink Peony; building colors until I got the shade I wanted. All leaves where inked using Ranger Archival Fern Green and Vivid Chartreuse. Once everything was inked they way I liked, I wrapped the Calla Lily petals around orange stamen from the Hearfelt Creations Pastel Pollen Stamen. All my leaves were shaped using my shaping tools. Card front was finished off by arranging the flower petals and leaves in a "sweep" along the left side of card.

Using the same 6" x 6" circle die, I cut one more piece from the collection and one in yellow pattern to place inside the card. Cutting out a pattern piece using the 4" x 4" die from Rounded Window Frame set allowed me to create more interest on the inside of card. Stamp using your favorite stamp set and you have a beautiful card that anyone will be thrilled to receive.

**The card base has a third piece that you can fold in half to create a "easel" for your gorgeous card you just created.
